Readers Project: Barbara’s Jelly Roll Quilts
Note from Alanda Craft: Don’t you just love these jelly roll quilts that Barbara has made for her friends. She has really mastered making these quilts and I love the fabrics she has chosen. They look so different with the lovely soft muted look of the lavender flowers and then the gorgeous, vibrant spring colours in the ‘Confetti’ quilt. I think Barbara’s friends are very lucky to be friends with such a talented lady who loves making quilts. Jelly Rolls make awesome strip quilts and they are such easy quilt patterns to make. Barbara has certainly mastered the art of Jelly Roll quilt making.
Barbara Says:
Here are two of my favorite jelly rolls. The first one is lavender flowers. When I saw this pattern/jelly roll, I thought of m friend, Linda, who took over my job when I retired. She loves purples and lavenders as much as I do. It was smaller – just lap quilt size. She was shocked when she got her surprise box in the mail.
- Brad is my official quilt holder upper.
- My friend, Deb, who has 2 of my quilts, wanted something springy with dots and squiggles. I found this one called Confetti. She loves it.
