Sizzix Big Shot Machine: What Can it Cut?

As many of you are already aware, we are big fans of the Brother ScanNCut, however we also have a Sizzix Big Shot machine, which we love. It’s an awesome machine for the price and it can cut through a lot of materials that the ScanNCut might struggle with.

Watch the video tutorial below for the result

With this in mind, we wanted to put the Sizzix Big Shot through its paces to see exactly what it could cut. We scoured our stash and came up with 34 different materials that we could test. See the full list below.

We used a Sizzix butterfly die in the test that had a number of different pieces as we wanted to test to see how well it would cut through both simple and more intricate patterns.

The Result?
Well, most worked great but a few didn’t work quite as well. I think that running it through a second time might have done the trick with some of them.
