Readers Project: Barbara’s ‘Be My Valentine’ Quilt

Note from Alanda Craft: Here is another gorgeous quilt from Barbara. This is her ‘Be My Valentine’ quilt using a Riley Blake layer cake. She has kept the pieces of fabric featuring the old trucks in large pieces to showcase them, and I think it has worked really well.

Barbara Says:

I got this Riley Blake layer cake called Falling in Love. I didn’t want to cut up the big pieces with the old trucks on it so Chrystal at the Clover Patch and I came up with this. I knew I wanted to frame the blocks so got some bright pink fabric but decided it just wasn’t right. Instead, I used the black and white polka dots. I had enough left over to make a mat for a pet bed, too.

Barbara has been part of our community for quite some time now and she makes really love quilts for her friends and family.
