It’s become a tradition for us to create a table runner every Christmas, so in this video we would like to share all of our Christmas Table Runners. These sewing projects are quick and easy and ideal for a beginner to make and we provide both video and written instructions for each.
These table runners not only dress up your Christmas table but make gorgeous gifts for family and friends. Merry Xmas.

1. EASY STRIPED TABLE RUNNER
This is a fast and easy table runner and uses strips to make it, so you could go with a jelly roll if you have one in Christmas colours. The fabric used for this is a mix of Robert Kaufmann Christmas fabrics, which I love, and some fabrics from our local Spotlight here in Australia (which is the equivalent of say a Michaels store in the US.)

2. CHRISTMAS PATCHWORK TABLE RUNNER
This is a beginner friendly table runner that is made using 5″ x 5″ squares of fabric. You could of course use a Charm Square Pack if you have one but we cut our own squares for this one. We made it in two different colour combinations as you can see in the image below and both came out great. As always, we have full video and written step-by-step instructions for you.

3. SUPER EASY PATCHWORK TABLE RUNNER
This was our 2020 Christmas Table Runner tutorial and was a pretty popular one. We used a technique which makes this super simple to create. You really only need to sew some strips of fabric together and then slice them up and twist them around. It’ll make more sense when you get into the tutorial but it is a fun way of creating a table runner.

4. QAYG Christmas Table Runner
I’m a big fan of the quilt-as-you-go method of quilting. It’s such a fun way of creating a quilt although in this case we are creating a table runner. You just need 9 strips of fabric in Christmas colours to create this one (and your backing fabric of course). It’s a quick one to put together so I know you will love it.

5. EASY QUILTED TABLE RUNNER
This one is my personal favourite. I just love the fabric and the rich colours. Again, like all our Christmas table runners, it is nice and easy to make so a confident beginner should easily be able to put this together. We also made it in fall (we call it autumn here in Australia) colours. The quilting is also nice and simple so you won’t even need to free motion quilt this. It’s just all straight lines.

6. CHRISTMAS TABLE RUNNER USING HALF SQUARE TRIANGLES
This one is made from half square triangles and I love the colours in this table runner. Blues and whites are a nice change to the more traditional Christmas colours. Again it is really easy to put together.
