How many times have you wished you had an extra copy of a die-cut that you have on hand and can’t get to the shop to buy one.?
Well, for those times when you need an extra shape for a project or maybe you just want to enlarge or reduce a shape that you already have in your die-cut scrapbooking stash, you can use your Brother ScannCut.
Watch the video tutorial below
In the video above we have used shapes from our selection of Amy Tangerine die cuts to show you how to make your own die cuts using the Brother Scan n Cut.

Hi
I have a new scan and cut sdx1200 which I’m learning about slowly as there are no classes on at present due to covid.
I notice many of your videos use a different model which talks about cutter settings. Mine has the autoblade. Are there any tricks to using the auto blade that I should know about and do I just ignore all the stuff about cutting pressure and depth?
Thankyou
Louise Barrett

The DX machines are great since you don’t have to adjust the blade – the machine does it for you, so yes, you can ignore any blade or pressure settings. It’s still worth doing a test cut when you are working with new papers or fabrics just to be safe as you don’t want to cut through your mat.
