We use it to cut out quilting and appliqué shapes, but did you know that you can also duplicate your original templates. Simply scan the template into the Brother Scan n Cut and save it to the machine. You can print it out when you are ready to begin your project.
This means your original template will remain in pristine condition and you can use the card stock, mylar or paper template that you create, to paint or ink over.
You will also end up with the cut-out designs from your template to use in your scrapbooking projects.
Watch the video below to see how it’s done.
Where Can I Buy a ScanNCut

Can you believe I have had a scan-n-cut machine for a year, my first cut did not work well, I’ve fearful of using it again and have cut by hand. I can hear everyone say “What” I would agree, its ridiculous. I have just come across this site and now look forward to gaining confidence to actually use it

Glad we could help Irene.

I want to use my scan and cut to cut out epp shapes but can’t get the sizes right. I have had it for a few years now (cm550) so could you help. Also can you tell me what the updates do?
Thanks
Tina
Alanda Craft says
I’m not sure what you mean by ‘epp shapes’.
In regards to updates, Brother will often introduce new features and correct any issues so in order for your machine to take advantage of these features, you will need to ensure your machine is updated.
