I am currently making an album which requires a piece of fabric on the spine and an anchor on the cover, so off we went to purchase some fabric from Spotlight. On the way we stopped at Wrapped in Paper in Gold Creek to see if they had an anchor to suit my purpose.
Well of course we didn’t just stop at looking for an anchor but ended up buying a couple of beautiful double sided cardstock pages So looking forward to making some beautiful cards with these the Paris and Sweetness Cardstock by Fabscraps.
We also bought the Enchanted Tea Party and Bohemian Bouquet cardstock packs. The patterns in these packs are just gorgeous. So we now have plenty of cardstock to work with and won’t need to purchase any more for quite some time (I’ll believe that when I see it)
Then, there was some pink Tim Holtz pink distress oxide that we had to get two of because neither of could decide which one we liked best. Following on from that we also bought, two Lavinia stamps and an awl. So all in all we had a lovely time and ended up spending way more that we had intended, but at least we know that we will use everything we bought, eventually.
Next stop was Spotlight and I found the perfect piece of material for my project, along with some Sizzix dies. Paula has been wanting to get the Leaves thinlits for a while now and as Spotlight were having a 30% sale this was the opportune time to buy them. We couldn’t resist getting these cute insect dies and I think the Falling Hearts will make a lovely background for a card. I was unable to find this particular set of dies on Amazon but there is a die with more insects on, so I have the link to that if you think you might like some creepy crawlies dies.
Last but not least was office works where we bought some 120gsm papers to print out digital downloads. We found that the 80gsm paper that we have for our usual printing just didn’t give the depth of color to our designs. We have both now started on a couple of albums using the absolutely gorgeous digital papers we downloaded from Vectoria Designs on Etsy and and Len”Arte Studio and we will be sharing videos of those shortly.
