Note from Alanda Craft: Here is Lee’s Origami bag. The scotty dog material that she has used for the handle cover and lining is so darn cute. I do like the green fabric, I was trying to work out if it was a paisley pattern on the fabric but whatever it is, I like it. Thank you for sharing your photo with us Lee, your mum will love it. Now if you would like to make an Origami bag like Lee’s then just check out our tutorial.
Lee Says:
I used a Jenny Bayer green quilting fabric for the outer and violet with white scotty dogs for the inner and handle. Who says quilting fabric is only for quilts? This is a gift for my mum. I’m also going to make a cutlery pouch and serviette in the same fabrics.

These bags are so quick and easy to make. I hope you will share some photos for our Readers Project page when you have made one. Here is the link /submit-your-project/ 🙂

Hello,
I love this bag! Couple of questions as I am new to sewing…is there a way to make the straps longer? Is there a way to add a closure? Maybe a button?
Thanks so much!

We are looking to doing another tutorial on extending the handles and adding a closure in the future Sandra. Not sure when it will be, however it’s on the to do list.
