We are totally into making junk journals at the moment. They are less structured than mini-albums so making them is a freeing experience.
However, we have one big issue when it comes to making junk journals and that is finding the vintage paper and ephemera to add to the journal to make it something special. Sure you can scour antique stores and op shops but it can take a while to build up your. collection.
This is why I am so glad we came across Natasa’s videos on her ‘Treasure Books’ Tube channel. She was doing an unboxing of
a paper and ephemera haul that was sent to her by an online store called ‘Which Craft Do You Do’. The stuff in the box was just amazing so off we went to their online store to take a look.
Boy oh boy, did we have fun deciding what to get. The store is jam-packed with vintage papers, ephemera, handmade goodies, and journal-making bits and pieces. They also have a nice range of Tim Holtz idea-ology gear at very reasonable prices. Shipping was quick and it wasn’t too many days before our parcel arrived. There were some extra die cuts attached to the package.

Handmade Junk Journal and Supply Kit.
Can’t wait to get started on this journal. The kit came well wrapped and tied with Sari Silk ribbon and a solid key attached. Beautifully presented.
Here are some of the items included to make up the junk journal :
Bits and bobs sent in a lovely container.
A plethora of tickets, tags, receipts, and all those lovely bits that go into making up a junk journal of interesting bits and pieces.
And finally, some pretty lace wrapped around a wooden peg and the canvas material to make the cover of the journal.
Well, I have to say we are delighted with the contents. It certainly has meant that we are on our way to having a nice variety of ‘stuff’ to make our junk journals with.
