Note from Alanda Craft: I do love the material the Valerie has used for her gift bag, it’s very festive looking and ideal as a birthday gift bag. I think gift bags give such a lovely, personal touch to gift giving. And you can make them in any size to suit the gift you are giving. They can also be a great scrap busting project if you have some festive fabric in your stash.

In the tutorial we show the instructions for having the seam running down the side, in which case the ribbon will be on the side, and we also show the seam running down the front, in which case the ribbon in the front.
