If you are a regular watcher of our YouTube videos or reader of our blog, you may have seen our demo and review of the Zoom Precision Engraving Tool. This is a tool that allows anyone with a ScanNCut, Silhouette, Cameo or Cricut die cutting machine to engrave on aluminum, acrylic, acetate, leather, copper and more. I have had so much fun using this tool and I’m pretty sure you will too.
Bear in mind, that we have only used the engraving tool on aluminum plates at this point and you can see the results and settings we used on our previous blog post. Here’s an example of one of the aluminum blanks we engraved.
Back when we did our demo, the Zoom creators only had a few metal blank types. These are the round, heart-shaped and rectangular dog tags. You can buy these individually or get a mixed pack from Amazon here.
As you can see from the image below, each tag is covered with a blue plastic sheet to prevent scratching.
Since we did our demo, the Zoom creators released a new range which they kindly sent to us to check out.
These include some large 5″ x 7″ metal plates that come in 5 different colors. You can get these from Amazon here.
Each of the sheets are packaged in its own plastic sleeve to protect it from scratches. The thickness of each plate is 0.8mm.
These are good quality sheets that have rounded corners, which gives them a well-finished look., and they have a nice smooth feel to them
We also received a pack of smaller plates. These measure 3.3″ x 2.1″. And if you are wondering why the odd measurements, it’s because they are made to be credit card/gift card size.
The Ulitmate Bracelet Tool
Another new release from Zoom Precision is the Bracelet Making Stamping Kit. There are different sized bracelets as you can see in the photo below. I had a lot of fun playing with this, and turned out a couple of nicely engraved bracelets, which you can see on our blog post here.
Using this kit you can really show off your creativity by designing and engraving unique bracelets as gifts for your family and friends. Super fun.
The kit comes with both aluminum and copper blanks in different sizes and a bender bar to help shape the bracelets.
Each bracelet blank is covered with a blue plastic sheet to protect it from scratches.
In the kit, you get 18 bracelet blanks in total:
- 9 copper bracelets in three different sizes – 1/4″, 3/8″ and 5/8″
- 9 aluminum bracelets in three different sizes – 1/4″, 3/8″ and 5/8″
And if you are wondering about the length, they measure 6″.
You can buy the Bracelet Kit from Amazon here.
