Note from Alanda Craft: I am sure your friend will love her big craft bag with its multiple pockets Andrea. I am also a Francophile an love everything French so I just love the Parisienne scenes on the contrasting fabric Andrea has used. I have to admit that I did need to look up Plein air painting, and it means ‘in the open air’. It’s a term used to describe the art of outdoor painting where you capture the views in natural light. The beauty of this bag is that it has plenty of pockets to hold brushes and other crafty items. For her next birthday maybe you could make her a matching Craft tools rollup to hold her paintbrushes.
These very big craft bags are ideal for carrying your craft supplies and they also make great market bags. You can make your own big craft bag from our free tutorial.
I made this bag so she can transport her canvases and painting tools to the outdoor locations. ( Plein air). I found a cute French Street scene print and paired it with black polka dots. I used batting and quilted both the lining and the main fabric. I put 2 pockets on both the outside and the inside. I hope that she likes it.
