Readers Project-Jean’s Christmas Table Runner-Best binding technique ever!

Note from Alanda Craft: As you can see from Jean’s title she really liked our binding tutorial. I sympathise with you Jean, there are still times (when I’m not concentrating and my mind wanders) where I end up having to unpick as well, so no shame there. Jean has made a really lovely table runner, I love the combination of patterns and colours. Her friend will really appreciate the effort she has put into making it. We try to keep our tutorials beginner friendly and it’s lovely to receive such nice feedback.

You can make your own table runner using our tutorial for the Fast and Easy Christmas Table Runner. It’s a way to use up leftover pieces of Christmas fabric from your stash.

Note from Jean
Your pretty Christmas table runner design from a couple of years ago inspired me to make this one. I bought a “big girl” sewing machine two weeks ago (Juki HZL DX7) and this is my first project! The binding tutorial was excellent, although I sewed things together backwards twice before figuring out the right direction! This runner is a gift for a friend who decorates her huge house for Christmas and throws a party every Christmas Eve for her friends. I’m still a beginner and this runner was perfect for me, thank you so much!
